UK-based asset management firm Schroders has appointed Jason Yu has the head of its client group in Hong Kong and Katherine Cox as the head of its client group in South Asia and global official institutions, with both reporting to Gopi Mirchandani, head of the firm’s client group for Asia.

Yu brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to its values and objectives. Since joining Schroders in 2017, he has held various leadership positions, most recently as head of multi-asset and fixed income management for Asia, based in Hong Kong.

Yu’s diverse professional background spans investment product management and analysis, trading, client relations and strategic business development. He is also the CEO for the firm’s business in Hong Kong. In his new capacity, he will continue to enhance the firm’s position as an asset manager in the territory.

Cox, based in Singapore, will play a central role in shaping client strategy and business growth across the Southeast Asia region and represent the firm in its strategic joint venture with Axis AMC in India. Since joining the firm in 2001, she has held various leadership positions, most recently as the head of client proposition.

She will also continue to lead the firm’s global official institutions segment, further strengthening its engagement with sovereign wealth funds, central banks and other global public sector clients. Her proven leadership, extensive client experience and long track record at the firm makes her well placed to drive the firm’s continued expansion in South Asia.

“Yu and Cox have had extensive years of success in their roles,” Mirchandani says. “These appointments reflect our deep bench strength and ongoing commitment to nurturing internal talent.”
